Avoid Collecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

For all plans except Free (Team plan or higher is required to upgrade), BugSplat account holders have the option to prevent the collection of personally identifiable information from your users.

Steps to mask and obfuscate personally identifiable information:

1. Sign in to your account

2. Navigate to the 'Settings-Database-Privacy' page.

3. Enable all the checkboxes under ‘Obfuscate Personally Identifiable Information’

Once these option boxes are checked, new crash reports will not contain any personally identifiable information.
